Saimo Technology installs twin head linear weigher at MM Foods Saimo Technology , a manufacturer of packaging equipment, has installed a twin head linear weigher complete with an s-type bucket elevator for weighing and packing fresh organic pasta at MM Foods in Victoria. By automating the product weighing process, MM Foods have increased its productivity of Allgrain Organics pasta in excess of 30% while minimising labour requirement and substantially reducing product giveaway by an average of 15 grams per packet. Tim Williams, regional manager for Saimo Technology, said ˇ°The installation was straightforward and all potential issues like product handling, interfacing with existing equipment and fitting within the limited space, were carefully considered during the design stageˇ±.
